The Pride of I-69

"THE PRIDE OF I-69" was a joint venture between  Brooks Construction and Primco, Inc. to rehabilitate 9 miles of four-line highway including overpasses, bridges, signs, lighting, guardrail, and storm drains on Interstate 69 in Dekalb County, Indiana.

The project was completed in 133 calendar days with minimal travel delays and included a 5-year warranty on all Superpave hot-mix asphalt pavement.  The owner was the Indiana Department of Transportation and The National Asphalt Pavement Association awarded the project the Quality in Construction Award for consistent material control and handling and for exceptional paving practices.

This Gold Level Project was selected as one of eight finalists from across the country for the 1999 National Quality Initiative Award
